(Cover) - EN Star Style - Emma Watson loved to experiment in the make-up trailer on set of Harry Potter.

The 21-year-old British actress shot to fame playing Hermione Granger in the film series. The stunning star has since become a fashion icon and says her love for all things beauty and style was nurtured on the set of the fantasy franchise.

Emma has revealed she grew close to the head of make-up, Amanda Knight, whilst playing the part of Hermione and would pass the time whilst she wasn't filming by experimenting with the array of cosmetics on offer.

"That was my playground. I would sit and play with lipsticks, foundations, and eye shadows; and every now and then Amanda would let me do the extras' face paint for the Quidditch matches," she explained in an interview with Vogue.

The pixie-haired beauty has enjoyed a sideline venture into the fashion industry alongside her acting. The star appeared in Burberry's fall campaign in 2009 and has modelled for beauty giant Lancme in March this year.

Emma has also collaborated with fair trade clothing company People Tree on three collections. She admits the hours she devoted to the cause were tough.

"It was such hard work. I didn't realise what I was taking on. I was doing twelve-hour days on Harry Potter and then coming home to work for two more hours, sizing and cutting designs.," she said.

Emma has also worked with designer Alberta Ferretti on a five-piece capsule that debuted in March for eco-friendly line Pure Threads. Emma received a call from the fashionista who asked her to come on board to project. The young star says she was so thrilled "[she] practically cried." (C) Cover Media
