Emma Watson: Premieres are surreal

26th September 2012

Emma Watson treats premieres like an "out-of-body experience".

The 22-year-old actress stars alongside Logan Lerman and Nina Dobrev in teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

It's the British star's first major role since playing Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise and she's nervous about the UK premiere tonight.

"Premieres are really full on, you just have to treat it as an out-of-body experience," she told BBC Radio 1.

"It's very surreal for an hour or two. It's good though, because after Harry Potter, nothing can ever be as mental as that!"

The star was greeted by waiting fans as she visited the British radio station this morning.

One particularly devoted admirer had a special surprise for Emma a tattoo of the actress.

"One fan has a tattoo? Are you serious? That's so sweet!" she gushed.

The movie received a warm reception at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month.

Emma and her co-stars were given a standing ovation at the Canadian event.

"Did I tell you we got a standing ovation in Toronto Film Festival ? : ) #perks (sic)," the excited actress tweeted.
