The young and handsome star who made his Bollywood debut with 'Footpath', Emraan Hashmi celebrates his birthday today. The 33 year old star hails from a family who very much belongs to B-Town.

Nephew of directors Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, Emraan entered the Hindi film industry playing the role of a gangster which was very much appreciated by the critics.

Later, he starred in 'Murder' opposite Mallika Sherawat which garnered him the needed recognition. He also won the Screen Award for Best Villain in the film. The film as well was commercially successful.

Hashmi later worked in many films like 'Gangster', 'Raaz 3', 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' and many more. Sharing screen space with actors like Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut, etc., Hashmi has learned a lot from them.

The actor is mostly nominated for Best Supporting Actor for many movies at most of the award functions.

Besides being an amazing actor, Hashmi is also a great human being. He married his long-time girlfriend Parveen Shahani in 2008 and became a father to a son, Ayaan in 2010.

Currently, Hashmi is busy with his upcoming films 'Ek Thi Daayan' and 'Ghanchakkar' that will release this year.
