(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Enrique Iglesias kisses fans on stage because he gets so excited while performing.

The Spanish pop star is renowned for smooching devotees and has canoodled with three women in front of crowds at his shows since July. On American television programme The Today Show a few months ago the bronzed 35-year-old kissed an unsuspecting audience member after singing his hit track Hero. Last week, he locked lips with a lucky devotee after the Jingle Ball in Boston and then repeated the act with another swooning woman after the Y100 Jingle Ball concert in Sunrise, Florida.

Enrique has explained his passionate behaviour by admitting he becomes caught up in the moment when he is belting out love songs on a platform in front of screaming women.

"I just get excited when I go on stage," Enrique divulged to Americas Kiss 108 radio station. "I don't do it all the time. I've got to be in a good mood, and I was in a good mood. There was no tongue."

One of the lucky receivers of a peck on the lips from the celebrity, Cheryl Lavoie, revealed Enrique was very honourable when selecting her for the special kiss.

Instead of just assuming he could lock lips with her straight away, he asked her husband who was chaperoning her for his permission first.

The 41-year-old also divulged that Enrique has a good kissing style and smooth lips.

"He looked at my husband and asked if it was OK, basically," Cheryl told American website People. "He's like, 'I'm going to kiss you now.' And I was like, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna have a heart attack!' He's got such soft lips. It was just a nice, sweet kiss." (C) Cover Media
