Eva Longoria is the "worst dater ever" because she has such strong opinions.

The American actress is thought to have reignited her relationship with Eduardo Cruz following a brief split, after they were recently spotted kissing.

Although she hasn't spoken about that, Eva has admitting finding relationships tough. She has created a new reality show called Ready For Love, but that doesn't mean she knows everything about romance.

"I'm the worst dater ever," she laughed. "That's why I like to be behind the scenes. I like to tell people what to do. I'm pretty opinionated."

The new series is hosted by Giuliana and Bill Rancic and sees hopefuls attempting to find their perfect partner, with the help of some trained professionals. Among those are Amber Kelleher, who works for top American matchmaking company Kelleher International, which was set up by her mother in 1986.

"Our matchmakers are really important in this process," Eva explained to Access Hollywood. "They have this 85 per cent matchmaking rate. I've never had any interaction with matchmakers or knew anything about them until this show. And they have pretty specific philosophies that you go, Wow, I never thought of it that way.'"

Eva sees the programme as a way to help people who are ready to find their ideal mate.

She thinks most of the people featured want to settle down.

"When you get to a point in your life and you've tried everything and you've exhausted blind dates you kind of go, I really want to share this life with somebody,'" she mused. "That's one thing I think these guys are, they're ready for love and they're at a point in their life where they're ready to share that with someone."
