(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Longoria has revealed that she wears braces, claiming she has "crooked teeth".

The Desperate Housewives actress, who is widely considered to be among Hollywood's most beautiful stars, has confessed that her dazzling smile has been achieved by consulting an orthodontist.

"I wear braces," she told InStyle, as she presented a photograph of her before she began the treatment. "Look how crooked my bottom teeth were, and I never even knew."

The actress loves enhancing her good looks with beauty essentials like bronzing powder. Eva claims she is a big fan of make-up because she was banned from using cosmetics when she was growing up.

"I wasn't allowed to wear make-up when I was young," she explained. "I would melt crayons and try to put them on my lips, and I would use watercolour for eye shadow."

Now she loves wearing false lashes which she said she can even apply in the car. She is also devoted to applying lashings of mascara no matter where she is going.

"If I were on a desert island, I would have to have mascara and lip balm," she added.

Another beauty must-have for Eva is high heels. In fact she loves designer shoes so must she doesn't even wear her favourite pair. "There's this pair in my closet by Versace, and they must be 8 inches crazy tall! They're not to wear; they're just to look really pretty in the closet," she said. "They are art!" (C) Cover Media
