Eva Longoria: I'm excited about my life

17th March 2012

Eva Longoria says that she is "excited" by the many new things she has "on the horizon."

The actress, who turned 37 this week, celebrated with her celebrity pals and seemed in good spirits despite her recent split from toyboy lover Eduardo Cruz.

Eva opened up to People magazine about the state of her life and career and revealed that she is feeling positive.

"I feel very excited about my life and I'm excited about things to come," she told the magazine. "There are so many things on the horizon."

One of those things is her on-going work with US President Barack Obama and her visit to Washington next week to discuss education and the economy in Latin communities.

But despite having worked with Obama for a while including co-chairing his re-election campaign, Eva says she still gets anxious before seeing him.

"I'm always nervous [about meeting him]," Eva said. "It's the President of the United States. You should always get nervous."

As well as promoting the series finale of her show Desperate Housewives which is coming to an end after eight seasons, Eva will also embark on a trip to Europe soon as part of her ambassador duties for L'Oral.

However, despite being seen out having a fantastic time with friends Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale to celebrate her big day, Eva says that she wasn't that thrilled about getting a year older.

"It's an uneventful age," she said about being 37 now. "After a certain age, you stop celebrating."
