Evan Rachel Wood: Tooth loss was funny

10th September 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Evan Rachel Wood thinks that the circumstances surrounding her recent tooth loss are hysterical.

While celebrating her birthday at a local club in Paris, France, earlier this week, a dancer at the establishment accidentally elbowed Evan in the mouth. Evan lost a tooth as a result, but is dealing with it well.

"It was my birthday and since I was in Venice, I decided to fly to Paris. I was with some friends and it was two hours after midnight and we were dancing. I just collided with someone's elbow and I knew immediately that my teeth had been knocked out. Sure enough, I had this tooth pulled out," Rachel said to USA Today at The Ides of March press conference at the Toronto Film Festival Friday. "I managed to laugh through it. I was quoting [the film] The Hangover."

Although Evan is able to get a good laugh out of the incident now, she does not wish the loss of a tooth on anyone. She is happy that it is a memory and does not invite a repeat of the experience.

"It's hilarious now. But ... I don't recommend it. It's not fun," Evan said. "I'm never going to forget it."

Now that her tooth is back in place, Evan can focus on other things, like her hair. Cutting her locks short for her The Ides of March role, Evan is absolutely elated about her new look.

"[This hairstyle] felt like me. I've always wanted to do it. I just needed to grow some b**ls. Now I just love it. Change your hair, change your life," Rachel expressed. "Suddenly my posture is different. You can't hide so your attitude comes out."

The Ides of March which stars Evan, Ryan Gosling and George Clooney screened at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival this week. (C) Cover Media
