(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Evangeline Lilly has gushed about being a mother for the first time.

The 32-year-old former Lost actress attended the premiere for her new movie Real Steel yesterday in California where she opened up about her four-month-old son.

Evangeline and her partner Norman Kali began dating while she starred on Lost and they continue to spend most of their time in Hawaii where the show was filmed.

"My son is wonderful. He is amazing!" she shared. "Motherhood is a joy. I have dreamed about being a mother since I was 12-years-old and there's nothing disappointing about it."

Evangeline added that being a mother is "actually more incredible than you can imagine".

"I think everything I say about motherhood sounds so clich, but it's true," she said.

She laughed that she spends most of her time "feeding" her son because "all he does is eat all day."

The Canadian star has not yet revealed her son's name but admitted that she was excited to have more children soon.

"If I wasn't working right now, I'd probably be pregnant again!" she shared.

Evangeline is also set to appear in upcoming movie, The Hobbit. (C) Cover Media
