Farhan Akhtar questions govt. fuel price surge, twitteratis debates

24th May 2018

BJP Government has surged Petrol and Diesel price at a record high up to 84 rupees per litre, with none of the celebrity questioning the government's move. It was Farhan Akhtar who showed the audacity of keeping a logical point with its facts pointing towards the unnecessary fuel tax laid down by the government. This led to a debate over Farhan's criticizing tweet leading to an interesting conversation with the Twitter users.

Farhan boldly tweeted, "84 per litre mubarak to you and your loved ones. Actual cost I believe is ₹31, based on info i could find online (do correct me if I’m wrong, happy to learn) .. the rest are central & state taxes, cess & commissions. Just so you know that the price can be brought down.''

Right below we are sharing the tweet and its counter by Farhan which was indeed logical. We don't know whether there will be a positive outcome to it, but good to see someone at an influential level at least starting the conversation on it.
