(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Felicity Huffman has joked everything about Desperate Housewives is fake, claiming Eva Longoria is actually a sock puppet.

The actress plays Lynette Scavo in the popular American television series which also stars Eva, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross - and she been revealing some behind the scenes secrets. Felicity confessed that the lush gardens in Wisteria Lane are not real and has joked that some of her co-stars have been made by the crew too.

All the greenery on Wisteria Lane the trees are real, but the flowers are all put on by hand, they are fake. They are silk, its astounding. Its Hollywood, there is really nothing real about this place, she explained to British television show Daybreak. Eva Longoria is actually a sock puppet.

In the show, Felicitys character struggles to raise her huge brood, while also wanting to pursue a career. The 47-year-old actress believes that in the seven seasons she has played Lynette, she has become increasingly similar to her character.

In fact, Felicity is adamant that she only landed the role because she was going through the same experiences as Lynette when she auditioned for the show.

Im terribly embarrassed, but I think that over the years they have just sort of become one. I mean, not what she does and how she behaves, but certainly in some ways, she explained. I think I got cast because I actually was a new mother and I was losing my mind. I went into the auditions and I said, Im a new mother and Im losing my mind, and they cast me.

Felicity is married to actor William H. Macy and the couple have two daughters ten-year-old Sofia Grace and Georgia Grace, eight. (C) Cover Media
