Fiji International Film Fest picks 'Kahaani' as the best film

A story in a story, 'Kahaani' was one film that left everyone thrilled and surprised till the end. Vidya Balan who plays the lead in the movie along with Parambrata Chatterjee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and many more definitely gave us a treat to feast on.

But the good news is that the movie won the award for the best film at Fiji International Film Festival. The festival that was held in Labasa, went on for two weeks in association with the High Commission and organized by the Fiji National University and Film Fiji.

The event opened with the screening of the movie which has over 250 entries. Around 125 other films were screened out of which Rajkumar Hirani received the Best Director award for his film '3 Idiots' and the special Jury Best Film award went to 'Kumavatara'.

Besides Hindi, the festival featured a diverse variety of films including French, Russian, Middle Eastern and Bengali classics that went on from October 5 to 18.
