Fiona Apple thinks the furore over her arrest is "bulls**t."
The Criminal singer was detained last week at a US Border Patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas for being in possession of marijuana and hashish.
Fiona is performing concerts on a North American tour for her new album The Idler Wheel
According to TMZ, the musician is incensed at how her incarceration has made headlines.
"This record with me ... I'm really sorry ... All the work we did is being overshadowed by this bulls**t," she said onstage at the House of Blues in New Orleans September 24.
A few days after her arrest, Fiona told audiences at one of her concerts that four of the arresting officers treated her terribly and that she kept track of the abuse in a "lockbox" to be used against the officials at a later date.
Fiona addressed these statements in New Orleans Tuesday.
"There are no f**king lock boxes. I didn't make up a code," she explained.
"It was my way to make a parallel between the self. I am not that f**ked up."
Fiona spent the night in jail and was released on a $10,000 bond last Wednesday.
