The shooting of Shah Rukh Khan's next film with Aanand L Rai where he plays a dwarf has been already started in the city and recently a minor mishap happened on the sets which left two crew members injured, while SRK remained uninjured. While we only knew the male lead of the film, there was no confirmation regarding the female lead of the film. But now it is confirmed that Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will join SRK as the female leads in the film.

Trade analysis and film critics Ramesh Bala confirmed the news on his Twitter handle by tweeting, "Official: @iamsrk , @AnushkaSharma and #KatrinaKaif to star in Dir #AanandLRai 's next project.. Shoot already in progress.."

A leading daily quoted Aanand saying as, "I am at a point in life when I want to do something challenging. And, when you get an opportunity to work with actors like these, you don't want to miss it. All three characters have a newness about them. The film is not a rom-com or a pure love story. It's about new-age relationships. I can't talk about Katrina's or Anushka's characters. While everyone knows that SRK plays a dwarf, there's a lot more to it than just that."
