The rising British singer, frontwoman of Florence and the Machine, gave a stunning musical performance at Sunday nights Academy Awards ceremony at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

She accompanied A.R. Rahman in a rendition of If I Rise, from the film 127 Hours, as images from the movie appeared in the background, and wore an elegant gold robe by Roksanda Ilincic as she took to the stage. Roksanda was thrilled to see Florence in her creation, and felt honoured her attire was adorning such a talented lady.

Florence has real talent and wonderful stage presence. I am delighted that it was worn by such an incredible artist and for such a special event, she beamed.

Florences gown was literally hot off the catwalk, as Roksanda had unveiled it as part of her Autumn/Winter 11 show at London Fashion Week last week. The designer was happy to let Florence wear the outfit so soon, as it has helped fuel excitement over her collection.

It has been very exciting to see this dress being worn so soon, while there is still such a buzz around the collection, she told Elleuk.com. (C) Cover Media
