Acclaimed beauty guru Billy B has collaborated with pop star Gaga on numerous occasions, and helped created the futuristic look she sports in the video for new single Born This Way.

The promo premiered yesterday, and for fans of the dramatic look sported by the songstress, Billy has revealed how the aesthetic was achieved.

I use anything that works, personally. I don't necessarily believe that a high price tag determines what's better, so as a make-up artist I'll use everything from Wet 'n Wild to MAC or Christian Dior or Chanel. It depends on if I like it and it does what I need it to do. I love Face Atelier foundation and L'Oral Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black. So it ranges from drugstore to high-end makeup," he told StyleList.

Billy admits there is a great deal of pressure that comes with working for such as major style icon. He wouldnt change things for the world though, as he admires the way Gaga pushes boundaries with her fashion and beauty choices.

"You can plan all day long on what you're going to do and even discuss it with her a million times what you're going to do - and then you never know until you're actually doing it what it's going to end up being," he explained. "That's one of the things that I love about working with Lady Gaga. As long as I've been doing this, no matter how I might think I've done everything, I never know with her. I'm constantly challenged and it's always inspired and it's always exciting and it's always a risk." (C) Cover Media
