Gautham Menon the true icon of South Indian Cinema has now set of to explore the South Indian Television Industry. Photon Kathas, Menon’s production company is planning a new talent hunt show, to find the ‘next big heroine’

The show is entitled 'Sitara', and will be produced in all four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telgu, Kannada and Malayalam). The company has tied up with tennis player Mahesh Bhupati’s Globo Sport for this venture. Photon Kathas CEO Venkat Somasundaram said in the statement: 'It is a clear example of our stated objective of producing and exploiting a diverse portfolio of South Indian content across multiple formats and languages.'

The production of the show is expected to start in the later part of 2012, and go live by 2013. Photon Kathas is director Gautham Menon’s baby, and has music director A.R.Rehman as its creative advisory. The company was established in 2009.
