(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gisele Bndchen says her mother is her hero

The Brazilian supermodel recently gave birth to her first child, Benjamin, with her husband Tom Brady. She loves being a mother and says it has increased her respect and admiration for her mom Vnia, who raised six children in a tiny farming town in southern Brazil.

My mother is a hero. I have never appreciated my mother more. I was like, Mom, you are my hero. How did you raise six kids in the countryside? Gisele told the October issue of the Australian edition of Harpers Bazaar magazine.

My mother worked all the time, too. The neighbours all helped. With all the neighbours in my town, it was like a big happy family; that doesnt really exist anymore. People have forgotten to help each other, and that its all about community. You cant live in a bubble.

Gisele was back modelling just six weeks after giving birth, but insists she didnt go to extremes to lose her baby weight. She ate healthily throughout her pregnancy, and believes breastfeeding helped her slim down.

Benjamin is now nine months old and Gisele delights in taking him everywhere she goes. She has never been apart from him for more than three hours, and plans to ensure things stay that way for the next few years.

I am so lucky that I can bring him everywhere, she said. I dont do anything without him. The maximum he has been without me in his life is three hours. (C) Cover Media
