(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Giuliana Rancic's husband Bill wants their son to have "her brains and [his] athleticism".

The couple announced in April that they are expecting a child via gestational surrogacy, and celebrated with a baby shower over the weekend.

At the lavish event on Sunday, the pair revealed the gender of their unborn child to the 100 guests and gushed about their soon-to-be family addition.

"I've always wanted a little Bill - my husband is the most gorgeous guy in the world, and I want our baby to look exactly like him!" Giuliana told Life & Style magazine, before Bill added: "Her brains, my athleticism."

Giuliana, 37, can't wait to welcome their son into her family. After her battle with breast cancer and infertility, the reality TV star hopes for a healthy baby.

"We are thrilled beyond belief," she smiled. "It's so funny, because since I was a kid I've always wanted a boy. But we would not have cared either way.

"Now that the medical stuff is done, we can focus on the baby. Even though I'm not pregnant, I've been dreaming about the baby. I had heard that I'd feel a connection, but I didn't really believe it! I dream of the baby in a blue blanket, and it's the cutest little boy!" (C) Cover Media
