The drop dead gorgeous and talented actor Matthew Ryan Phillippe better known as Ryan Phillippe turns 38 years old today. The American actor came to fame in the late 1990s starring in a string of films making himself the darling of many hearts.

Phillippe has appeared in several films, including 2001's Academy Award Best Picture nominee Gosford Park, 2005's Academy Award-winning ensemble film Crash, and the 2006 war drama Flags of Our Fathers.

The talented actor is in news more often for his affairs rather than films. In the year 2006, I know What You Did Last Summer actor and Academy award winning actress Reese Witherspoon famously separated. Shortly, Phillippe reconciled with Australian actress Abbie Cornish that lasted for three years.
