Akshaye Khanna, son of Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna and brother of Rahul Khanna has created his place in the Bollywood Film Industry over the years. 

Born in Mumbai on March 28, 1975, Akshaye Khanna has studied in Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai and then made his acting debut in 1997 with the movie Himalay Putra. His performance in his next release, J. P. Dutta-directed Border (1997), earned him the Filmfare Best Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998. 

None of his films charmed the audience as much until the dawn of 2001. In 2001, Akshaye Khanna appeared in the cult classic Dil Chahta Hai which became the single turning point in his career. His performance gave him his first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2002. After this there was no looking back with films like Humraaz, Hulchul, Race, etc. 

As far as his personal life is concerned, Akshaye Khanna has always stayed away from controversies.
