'BARFI' made us fall in love with this chocolate boy! He had proved himself earlier with his brilliant acting and critical acclaims surrounding 'Rockstar'. Now, ace actor Ranbir Kapoor is definitely Number #1 on the hitlist for 'BIG in B-Town' of new generation actors!  

Born to popular actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Ranbir began his career by assisting director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the 2005 success, 'Black'. He later made his acting debut with the director's 2007 film 'Saawariya' for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. 

Kapoor progressed and earned positive notice for his performance in 'Wake Up Sid' (2009) followed by a role in 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year', the very same year. 

These performances earned him a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor, and he was later recognized for his role as an aspiring politician in the political thriller 'Raajneeti' (2010), his biggest commercial success to date.

In 2011, Kapoor received a Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in the Imtiaz Ali-directed drama 'Rockstar'.

Having done so, Kapoor has established himself as one of the leading contemporary actors of Hindi cinema. He is also the last actor to have worked with veteran actor and grand-uncle Shammi Kapoor.
