The king of bhangda Daler Mehndi turns 48 as he celebrates his birthday today 18th August 2015.

The legendary bhangda artist was born into a majhabi sikh family of musicians who had been singing for seven generations and thus obviously singing was in his blood from the beginning.

Daler carved a niche for himself through his foot tapping and mesmerizing bhangda albums and songs but this was not the end of the world for him as also went on to achieve fame as a singer in the bollywood fraternity too.

Daler his well known for his chart topping numbers like 'Tunak Tunak Tun', 'Na Na Na Na Re', 'Kudiyan Sheher Diyan', 'Rang De Basanti' among numerous others.

In addition to all this, Daler is also well known for his philanthropic and social awareness causes and is held high in esteem for his outspoken and colourful personality.
