A silhouette of pure simplicity and elegance, Diane Kruger the German actress turns 36 today. Her radiance still lightens up the screen and her performance just adds to the brightness.

So what makes her so interesting and appealing?? Of course, it's her eagerness and hard-working aura. She doesn't have to try very hard as it all comes naturally to her.

A witty child who grew up in Germany, she was usually sent to exchange schools to improve her English. While growing up she always wanted to be a ballerina and successfully auditioned for it, but due to an unfortunate accident that led to an injury, it ended her dancing career.

But she didn't lose hope, but moved to Paris to pursue an interest in modelling and acting. She represented Germany in the Elite Model Look and then later went onto targeting the ramp. Being a part of the best like Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Giogio Armani and many, she became the diva of fashion. She gradually quit to give a shot to acting, which obviously came in with her elegance.

Taking lessons, she started off with several French films. This experience garnered her with great recognition.

No wonder she was a part of films such as 'Troy', 'National Treasure', 'National Treasure: Book of Secrets' and 'Inglourious Basterds'.
