When Kalyug was released in 2005, people could not believe that it was the same cute child actor who was shining in movies like Raja Hindustani, Zakhm and Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke. Kunal Khemu is a popular bollywood actor and it is his birthday today.

Kunal was born in Kashmir but was brought up in Mumbai. As a child actor, Kunal has appeared in the Doordarshan TV series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam (1987), directed by Ved Rahi. He made his film debut with Mahesh Bhatt's movie Sir (1993), starring Naseeruddin Shah and Pooja Bhatt. 

Kunal made his Bollywood debut as the protagonist with Kalyug and it was critically well acclaimed. His double role performances in the movie Superstar was appreciated by the critics and the viewers. He also proved his versatility doing comic roles in movies like Golmaal 3, Dhol etc. The actor received his first Filmfare nomination for comedian for his performance in Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge.
