Gone are the days when you begin to get aware about a film only just a few days before its release. With the trends changing, movie promotions have reached a different level altogether.

Just recently, we heard of Shahid and Priyanka's plans of turning hosts at a Qawwali session to promote their film 'Teri Meri Kahaani', keeping in mind the storyline of their movie.

Similarly, the team of 'Rowdy Rathore' has come up with an unique idea of promoting their film. In sync with the title, keeping 'Rowdy' in mind, a hunt for the best Rowdies with a good heart was held in different cities.

The announcement about the hunt was made on a Radio station, calling all the hidden rebels who shared their experience on air. Cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and New Delhi were scoured. Five such characters have been shortlisted from each city and now are part of Akshay's gang.

The 'Rowdies' selected from each city will co-host Akki and Sonakshi in their respective cities to promote the film.

Speaking about the men selected for promotions, Akshay and Sonakshi said that they look very rowdy on the outside but are gentle and tenderhearted. They are loud and proud, but lovable and humble at the same time.

Hope these 'Rowdies' add colour, drama and muscle to the action-packed events planned.
