The legendary filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt turns 67 as he celebrates his birthday today 20th September 2015.
Mahesh Bhatt made his directorial debut with the 1974 film 'Manzilein Aur Bhi Hain' but his got his first big breakthrough with his 1982 film 'Arth' which is one of the 25 must see bollywood movies.
Following this breakthrough Mahesh went on to direct numerous other successful films and some of them even went on to achieve cult status in the bollywood fraternity.
The heavyweight filmmaker is widely known in the film industry for directing the 1990 cult film 'Aashiqui' which went on to become a rage amongst the youth and also became one of his most successful films, particularty because of its soundtrack which is one of the most successful soundtracks ever in Bollywood.
Well, it's an obvious fact by now, that the iconic filmmaker has won several awards for his work. Mahesh has won Filmfare Award for his films like 'Arth', 'Saaransh', 'Daddy', 'Aashiqui', 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke' and 'Zakhm'.
All of the above films directed by Mahesh went on to achieve cult status and became huge blockbusters at the time of their release.
