Bollywood belle Mahie Gill,popularly known for her role of "Paro" in 'Dev. D' will be celebrating her 36th birthday today.

Mahie Gill was born in Chandigarh on 19th December 1975 in a Sikh family. She did  her Masters in Theater from the Punjab University, in 1998. She got her first break with the Punjabi based Bollywood film 'Hawayein''.

She is well- known for her role of 'Paro' in Anurag Kashyap's critically acclaimed Hindi film 'Dev.D' - a modern take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Bengali novel - 'Devdas'. 'Dev D' won her the 2010 Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Mahie has worked in Punjabi Films before her Bollywood 'Dev D' debut.

Mahie was also seen in UTV's Aage Se Right with Shreyas Talpade and Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Saheb Biwi aur Gangster". She will be seen next in the film 'Paan Singh Tomar' with Irrfan Khan.
