(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Original handwritten manuscripts from the Harry Potter books are going on display.

The series created by Scottish author JK Rowling about life in a fictional school for wizards is loved by both children and adults throughout the world, and has been adapted into a successful film franchise starring Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

Now a special story which was originally set to feature in the second book in the series Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is going to be framed and displayed as part of the Wigtown Book Festival in Scotland.

This is a one-off exhibition and contrary to belief it is not on a world tour. We're very excited that this bit of Harry Potter is coming home to Scotland for ten days," said Gerrie Douglas-Scott of the bookstore ReadingLasses, where the pages will be displayed.

The two pages have been signed by the author herself and contain the story The Ballad of Nearly Headless Nick, about a wizard ghost character who is played by British actor John Cleese in the films.

The manuscripts were originally donated by the author to Scottish Language Dictionaries in 2005 to help them fund a new Scottish language dictionary.

The Wigtown Book Festival will run from September 24 to October 3. (C) Cover Media
