(Cover) - EN Star Style - Hayden Panettiere thinks she was brave to crop her hair.

The 21-year-old underwent a drastic restyle earlier this year, and is a fan of her new short tresses. She admits altering her style made her start to feel different, adding it also made those close to her view her in a different way.

I guess people might assume long-haired girls are more girlie, she said. Chopping off all your hair is brave. It did make me more tomboyish and that might have changed peoples behaviour towards me.

Haydens hair is currently blonde, and is cut into the nape of her neck with a longer fringe which she often wears swept back. Although she loves her new look the star admits it came about more due to necessity than design.

It happened because I dyed my hair red, but when I went back to blonde my hair was in terrible condition, so I cut it all off, she laughed to Look magazine. (C) Cover Media
