(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hayden Panettiere loves the Scream franchise because it makes you laugh and terrifies you at the same time.

The 21-year-old is currently starring in Scream 4, alongside Neve Campbell, Emma Roberts, Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette. Hayden is a huge fan of the horror movies and was thrilled when she landed a lead role in the latest sequel. She is amazed by how scriptwriters manage to scare you and amuse you all in one scene.

I think it encompasses those rules and those clichs it has really grown and adapted with its audiences, she told the BBC at the Hollywood premiere for Scream 4. That is what people love about Scream, sitting on the edge of the seat being terrified but at the same time having those comic relief moments that are just they put you at ease enough to scare you again.

David was also thrilled to reprise his role for a fourth time.

In the latest instalment of the horror franchise, Sidney Prescott played by Neve has written a self-help book about survival, while Sheriff Dewey played by David and Gale Weathers played by Courteney are now married. As Sidney comes back to her hometown to promote her book, a new series of murders occur and fears are sparked that Ghostface has returned.

David can see many similarities between the fourth and first movie in the franchise and thinks the storyline is interesting.

This movie reminds me most of the first one because Im a cop again, Im a sheriff again and I have kept the town safe for ten years, he explained. Then Sidney comes back and all hell breaks loose. It takes place in the same town and there are a group of kids that represent the kids from the first one and the killings are very similar, so it is interesting. (C) Cover Media
