Heidi Klum has officially filed for divorce from Seal.

The couple announced the end of their almost seven-year marriage in January, but have delayed official annulment until today.

TMZ reports that Heidi's lawyer Laura Wasser filed a divorce petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of their split.

According to legal documents, the pair made a post-nuptial agreement to keep assets separate. Due to this contract there is no community property for the court to allocate.

Heidi has asked the judge for joint custody of the four children that she shares with Seal. She wants primary physical custody and is open to review appropriate visitation rights for her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Heidi also requests that her maiden name "Klum" be restored. Although she has used this moniker professionally throughout her career she chose to adopt Seal's family name "Samuel" when they were married.

Heidi wants the court to reject any spousal support appeal made by the Kiss from a Rose singer.

The couple are parents to Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two.
