(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dame Helen Mirren doesn't really get homesick for England.

The 65-year-old actress was born in London before moving to Essex as a child. Now she has carved out a successful career in Hollywood, is married to US director Taylor Hackford and has been happily living in America for years.

Helen loves the bustling UK city, and says that although she sometimes suffers a pang when she returns there, she never thinks about her birthplace when she's away.

"As soon as I'm back in London I go, Oh my God I miss this, this is great'. But when I'm away from it, I actually don't think about it really," she told OK! magazine.

Nevertheless, the patriotic star who was invested as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) back in 2003 says she will still always consider herself to be a Londoner. The talented star maintains that she will maintain her frame of mind for the rest of her days.

"But I love London and I think of myself as a Londoner and that's how it is," she added. (C) Cover Media
