(Cover) - EN Movies - Helena Bonham Carter tried to copy Queen Elizabeths physical mannerisms in a bid to sound more like her in The Kings Speech.

The 44-year-old actress portrays a young Queen Elizabeth, mother of Britains Queen Elizabeth II, in the Oscar-winning movie documenting Britains King George VI struggle to overcome a stammer.

The Queen Mother passed away in 2002, although Helenas voice coach from the movie, Neil Swain, has revealed how useful archive footage of the much-loved royal helped the actress mimic her voice.

The Queen Mother was fascinating, whenever you saw her meeting the public she was a great smiler - very warm. Having that changes the quality of a voice, so physical characteristics were important, he told Cover Media.

The vocal expert, who has collaborated with a variety of A-list actors throughout his career, says Helena worked hard preparing for the movie, although he admits the well-spoken actress has worked in Received Pronunciation the accent for Standard English in England many times in the past.
