Royal & historic essence in Padmavati's trailer fills us with goosebumps

9th October 2017

Finally, the much awaited film of the year 'Padmavati' which is a period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has its official trailer released. The trailer is so flawless and full of details that SLB surely deserves applauds for what he is good at. From the giant Royal Palaces to the vast desert-like warzone everything is so historic and cryptic that the audiences sense a Deja vu of what has already happened in the past.

Starring Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh, and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and yes each one of them fit perfectly in the shoes of these characters. The trailer introduces a silent chemistry of Rani Padmini and Rawal Ratan Singh greeting each other with a graceful look. Rani Padmavati is seen embroidering the Royal Turban of Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh who adorably keeps looking into her eyes.

While the trailer doesn't have dialogues, it has over voices of the actors. One of which is Shahid's dialogue describing Rajput, ''Chinta ko talvar ki nok pe rakhe vo Rajput, rait ki naav lekar samandar se shart lagaye voh Rajput, aur jiska surr katein fir bhi uska dhadd dushman se ladta rahey voh Rajput''.

Now such an intense dialogue magnificently showcases the pride of a Royal Rajput King who bows down to his Queen Maharani Padmavati who armours him. However, Ranveer Singh steals the show for portraying the cruel Allaudin Khilji seemingly well. He is mad, angry, captivating, aggressive like hell with his death stare and fierce with his actions and a wild crisp look with scars on his face, that makes him look scary and wild.

Now the director has set sky-high expectations amongst the fans with tPadmavati's trailer that surely looks promising. The film is set to hit theatres on December 1.
