(Cover) - EN Movies - Christina Hendricks, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are all being lined up to appear in a new boxing movie.
The trio are all said to be close to agreeing terms for director Jeff Feuerzeigs latest project The Bleeder. The film is based on the story of heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner, who is renowned for his brutal 15-round bout with Muhammad Ali in 1975. At the time the sportsman wasnt that well known, and his story was the inspiration for Sylvester Stallone movie series Rocky.
According to Variety, Christina, Naomi and Liev are all keen to appear in the picture. Movie bosses will be at the Cannes Film Festival in France this week to talk about the release with prospective buyers.
Jeff is known for his 2005 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston, about the American artist-and-musician. The release scored him the best director award at the Sundance Film Festival.
The director penned the script with Jerry Stahl, while the producers will be Mike Tollin and Carl Hampe. (C) Cover Media
