Hollywood director inspired by Kamal

17th July 2012

Seems like it is now time for Kamal Haasan to make a global impact. Even though he is a south Indian actor, he is become popular all over the world.

Though the actor is all set to make his foray in Hollywood, he has already won the admiration and appreciation of popular Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino.

The film-maker, who is popular for movies like 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Inglourious Bastards', has admitted that he admired Kamal's 2001 film 'Aalavandhan'.

Quentin further stated that he used the comics for his movie 'Kill Bill' for the most grusome scenes, taking a cue from the south movie.

Kamal, while reacting to this said, "When I did the animation action sequence 12 years ago it was seen as self-indulgent and odd by a lot of people. Now that it has been endorsed by a filmmaker of such brilliance, critics will be kinder to some of the things I attempt in my films."

It's great to hear how Indians are admired and appreciated by other countries.
