Irrfan Khan is the only Indian export to Hollywood that seems to have got his producers from the west mould their shooting schedule according to his dates.
The actor has been signed to play a pivotal role in Oscar winning filmmaker Ron Howard's screen adaptation of Dan Brown's novel 'Inferno'. The film is slated to go on floors in April, however, Irrfan has already assigned the whole of April for the promotions of his Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' that has Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone play the lead.
Apparently, Ron has crafted his shooting schedule around Irrfan's availability in the month. Also, Ron initially had not offered Irrfan the character of Harry Simms that he is playing in the film. After reading the script Irrfan expressed his desire to play 'the provost' to Ron, who is his good friend and co-star of his upcoming film 'Jurrassic World' Dallas Bryce Howard's father.
Ron after thinking about it gave him a nod. Like the previous adaptations of Dan Brown's novel, this one too will have Tom Hanks play the lead Robert Langdon.
