(Cover) - EN Movies - Katie Holmes and Chace Crawford have signed on to star in a new indie romance-comedy.

The pair will appear in Responsible Adults, which will be directed by John Poll for Night & Day Pictures. Johns previous credits include Charlie Bartlett and he also was a producer/editor on Meet the Fockers.

The plot sees a 30-year-old medical student played by Katie who meets a charming 22-year old Chaces character and the pair enjoy instant chemistry. After she falls for the younger guy, she realises she used to be his babysitter 15 years ago.

The screenplay has been written by Alex Schemmer and the movie will be produced by Michael Roiff and Julie Yorn.

The script is very funny, Katie Holmes and Chace Crawford are appealing actors around the world and Jon Poll is a terrific filmmaker. Myriad Pictures is pre-selling international rights at the 64th Cannes Film Festival, which opens today. No other names have been announced for the picture, and casting for the supporting roles is currently on-going.

Shooting is slated to begin in Los Angeles this autumn. (C) Cover Media
