Awards and accolades are not new for S P Balasubrahmanyam, the singing legend of south India. On Tuesday, one more honour was conferred on him and he was extremely happy about it.

At a function in Chennai, SPB received the 'Madhavapeddi Satyam Award'. Veteran actress Lakshmi was presented 'Madhavapeddi Prabhavathi Award'.

The Madhavapeddi Awards, instituted in memory of Madhavapeddi Satyam, by his son and Kuchipudi exponent Madhavapeddi Murthy, was presented to experts in the field of arts.
