Rahman receives another honour

Oscar and Grammy winner A.R. Rahman was felicitated during the Sixth Annual Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) held at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the music maestro said that he was overwhelmed by the praises. He added, that he didn't expect the felicitation to be such a memorabe one.

At present, Rahman is scoring the music for a few films, including Mani Ratnam's 'Kadali', Shankar's 'I' and Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan'.

All these above projects are multilinguals and have a Telugu version too. Apart from rising as an international musician, Rahman has also become a notable humanitarian and philanthropist, donating and raising money for beneficial causes and supporting charities.
