Hugh Hefner responds to Lohan leak

10th December 2011

Hugh Hefner believes that the upcoming Playboy issue featuring Lindsay Lohan will be a "collector's edition" despite the early internet leak.

Lindsay's entire Playboy editorial has been illicitly revealed online one week before its official release date.

In response to this event, Hugh has decided to put the issue on sale as soon as possible.

"Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early," Hugh posted on his Twitter account Friday.

"The Lindsay Lohan issue of Playboy is going to be a true Collector's Edition (sic)."

Although no official date has been confirmed Hugh is expected to release the issue early next week.

He maintains that the magazine will sell well in spite of the leak.

"Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot (sic)," he tweeted.

The leak has been traced to an unidentified hacker who revealed to Fox News that he uploaded the images to a Russian based file-sharing website.

Lindsay has reportedly received $1 million for her interview and spread in the magazine.

As previously scheduled Lindsay will appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on December 15 to discuss and debut the issue.

She was initially only going to unveil the cover image and one photo from the spread on Ellen's programme.

Lindsay is currently on a short vacation in Hawaii.

The actress was given permission go on holiday for a few days by her probation officer as she has made significant progress on her court-ordered community service and psychotherapy sessions.
