I am comfortable in the 'uncomfortable' zone, says Shahid

Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor has drawn a niche for himself despite of being the part of mainstream cinema. His films like 'Kaminey' and 'Jab We Met' prove that there's much more to him than his good looks.

His caliber as an actor was never questioned as he proved himself at regular intervals. But with his upcoming film 'Haider', the actor has set new standards for his colleagues.

The film is distinctively very different from what he has done so far and he too has put in extraordinary efforts in the same. Shahid not only has worked hard for the three looks onscreen that he sports in the film but also has worked very hard to get the emotions right onscreen.

The actor's onscreen character goes through various emotional traumas which he has performed to perfection. The trailers have shown a glimpse of his performance that has already garnered a huge response from the audience and critics.

But the 'ever-so-humble' Shahid feels that to be offered such a film is a compliment in itself. "Hamlet is a very coveted part. It's a huge compliment just to be considered for it and very daunting to actually play it. You really do feel 'to be or not to be' as an actor towards the end of it," said Shahid.

Though he performs a really difficult character onscreen, Shahid claims that he is happy being in that space. "I am very comfortable in uncomfortable spaces as an actor. My look is drastically different from anything I have done before but eventually it is the mental journey of the character that has to be interpreted besides the physical," he added.
