Face of ‘Urumi’- Prithviraj expressed immense gratitude to his movie fans and media for making Urumi such a huge success. Directed by Santosh Sivan, the Malayalam movie’s Tamil version hit the screens few days back. The movie was welcomed with great appreciation. 

Urumi is a chronicle of the struggles of a youth against the Portugese sailor Vasco-Da-Gama. "When I was shooting for Mani Ratnam's Ravanan, Santosh Sivan was the cinematographer for the movie. We discussed a lot about Urumi then and soon we started the venture" says Prithviraj.

'It demanded me to tone my physique and prepare myself for the role in difficult conditions. The result is there to seen on screen. I am happy and thrilled at the appreciations that I am getting for Urumi', he adds.
