Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s debut television show, 'Satyamev Jayate' has sent ripples all over the country with its sensational revelations of the ugly truth prevailing in the Indian society.

The show took Aamir places, as he was also invited by many Indian ministers to discuss the gravity of certain serious issues. But he also drew flak from those sections of the society which were exposed.

Nonetheless, his nephew cum Bollywood star Imran Khan feels that the show had a grueling impact on the nation as a whole.

"The show has generated a huge impact. Some people, of course don't agree with what Aamir is saying or doing. But they are talking about it," said Imran who has himself been active on the social front. He added that through the show, the hidden evils of society have came out in public, which in itself is a great achievement.

"Aamir has raised issues which people were not previously talking about. 'Satyamev Jayate' has raised issues to a national level. I don't think there can be a bigger impact than this," he added.

The show comprised of 13 episodes in which Aamir had thrown light on sensitive issues like female foeticide, education, dowry, addiction, inter-religion marriages and malpractices in the medical field amongst others.
