International Acclaim for Pavitra Rishta

October 6, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Zee TVs most popular show Pavitra Rishta has made it to the international level now. Recently, the show has received an international acclaim at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2010. It has won the esteemed Jury's Special Prize at the function, which was organized at the well-known Korean Broadcasting System Hall in Seoul, South Korea.

The show has gained good TRPs in India following the jail drama of Manav and Archanas increasing closeness to him. Now, this award is an added feather to its already popular crown. It has become the first Indian show to get noticed as well as an honor in Korea.

The story of a middle class Maharashtrian family has been liked and praised by the viewers in Korea. Charu Singh, Deputy Vice President of Programming in Zee TV, received the award.

The award ceremony is in its fifth year now and the stalwarts from across the international television fraternity attended the event. Actors, directors, script-writers, technicians and producers from the countries like Japan, Malaysia, Canada, UK and the US, graced the event with their presence.

Mr. Sukesh Motwani, Programming Head- Fiction of Zee TV, was quoted saying that the simplicity of Pavitra Rishta is its beauty. He added that they were sure the Indian people will love the serial but this honor at SDA has come as delightful surprise for the team.

It is definitely an achievement for the team of Pavitra Rishta as the show has been able to create an identity across the borders and impress the viewers in spite of the language, culture and country barrier.
