October 4, 2010 (Showbiz PR Wire): The filming of Faruk Kabirs brainchild Allah Ke Banday, starring veteran actor Naseerundin Shah and Sharman Joshi, didnt come easy the story inspired by a front page report on a leading tabloid took 2 years to release.

Director Faruk was taken aback with the kind of organization and planning a group of young boys were involved in with the rail-yard robberies after the tabloid reported it 2 years ago .

Says Faruk, Allah Ke Bandey was born from that article. I dont want to glorify my struggle but it wasnt easy.

After having shot in an approximate 47 locations in and around the city and facing backlash from various groups the film is finally ready for release.

Allah Ke Bandey spans the life of two young children taking audiences through various socio-economic problems that plague many a lives that represent the future of this country

Already facing comparisons to the Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire, Faruk remains unfazed, Id be proud if people compare my film to Slumdog that was made at a budget of 15.6 million dollars.The budget for our film was 5 crores.
