(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith doesn't care what people think about her daughter Willow.
The 11-year-old singer burst onto the music scene in 2010 with her chart-topping hit Whip My Hair and has since come under fire for her confident and wise-behind-her-years attitude.
Jada staunchly defends her young daughter, and tries not to get too caught up in how the public perceives her.
"How people feel about Willow is how people feel about Willow. But what I'm most concerned about is how Willow feels about herself," she told the September issue of Essence magazine.
"She's an independent, courageous, genius, talented little girl. I'm happy for her, that she can just be who she is."
Jada and husband Will have faced a series of rumours that they are headed for divorce. The 40-year-old star is used to dealing with the speculation surrounding her marriage.
"It seems like that happens at least once a year, or at least once every two years. It's rumoured that we're getting a divorce. But no. We're not getting a divorce. Where am I gonna go? Where am I going to go?
"That's my boo. It's like he's another part of me." (C) Cover Media
