(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jamie Bell doesnt know if being compared physically to Woody Allen is a compliment.

The 24-year-old British actor is best known for playing an aspiring young ballet dancer in 2000 movie Billy Elliot, and has recently been sporting geeky black-rimmed glasses in the style of iconic film director Woody Allen.

Jamie feels the spectacles enhance his resemblance to the 75-year-old moviemaker, and isnt really sure whether to be pleased by the similarity.

Before I had glasses a friend of mine said that I looked like Woody Allen, a young Woody Allen, I couldnt tell if that was a compliment. I wasnt too sure what that was, anyway I think I kind of ended up getting glasses that only enhanced the fact that I might look like a young Woody Allen - which is weird, he laughed during an interview with Collider.

Jamie admits he doesnt take glasses buying too seriously, and prefers to select his frames spontaneously. He had an immediate attachment to his current pair, which certainly lend him an intellectual aesthetic.

These glasses? Actually you know what, I went into a glasses shop and...first frame I put on. That simple, he beamed.

Jamie has been working hard lately, and is currently promoting new movie The Eagle, which tells the tale of a Roman soldier on a quest to honour his fathers memory and also stars Channing Tatum. He feels proud of the direction his career is moving in, and loves nothing more than keeping busy.

Its been a little hectic just now, yes. Which is a great thing of course, you know being busy is always good. Its a good cluster of things which has kept me going, kept me excited, worked with some really great people along the way, he enthused. (C) Cover Media
