(Cover) - EN Showbiz - January Jones wanted to dress up as an American football star for Halloween last year.
The actress, who will star as Emma Frost in the eagerly-anticipated action film X-Men: First Class this summer, revealed that she loves watching the hard-hitting contact sport. She is such a fan of the long-haired Pittsburgh Steelers' strong safety star Troy Polamalu she considered impersonating him last October.
"My idol is Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers who won the Super Bowl this year," January told Madame Figaro. "I even wanted to dress up like Troy for Halloween."
However, in the end the blonde actress decided to dress up like legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent. She wore a man's suit and donned a pair of glasses for the spooky US holiday.
"I pulled my hair back and I got glasses with a big frame," she said.
January, who is currently pregnant with her first child, also admitted to being nothing like the ice-queen housewife character Betty Draper she plays on the hit television show Mad Men.
"It may shock some fans of the TV show, but I can assure you this blonde, distant and cold female character has nothing to do with me.
"My mood changes a lot, that's why I've chosen this job as it means I can change my identity," she said. "I am much more relaxed and more confident in real life than those neurotic characters, especially Betty's one." (C) Cover Media
